HPV Prevention Strategy in Cali: A Commitment Regardless of Sex or Gender
Profamilia desarrolló e impartió talleres que enfatizaron la importancia de abordar el virus del papiloma humano (VPH) y la prevención del cáncer cervical entre los profesionales de la salud del Departamento de Salud.
Los participantes incluyeron asistentes de enfermería, médicos, psicólogos, trabajadores sociales, maestros, consejeros, psicólogos infantiles y educadores juveniles de salud reproductiva. Durante los talleres, los participantes expresaron su apoyo a las estrategias de prevención teniendo en cuenta la tecnología actual y el énfasis en que las personas desempeñan un papel más activo en su salud para promover la detección temprana y los tratamientos.
Además, la participación de hombres y mujeres y jóvenes trans ha sido clave, ya que son promotores excepcionales de la red de servicios amigables para el consumidor del Departamento de Salud.
Un total de 126 personas participaron en las 7 sesiones de capacitación que tuvieron lugar durante los meses de agosto y septiembre en la ciudad de Cali. El programa ha recibido comentarios positivos de los participantes en los talleres y dado las muchas solicitudes de otros para la capacitación, se realizó un taller adicional en octubre.
